AN INTRODUCTION

The "Echo van het Zuiden" is an accordion- and mandolin orchestra under the leadership of the conductor Danny Notermans.The orchestra was founded in 1945 and currently has approximately 20-25 musicians.

The unique combination of instruments, accordions, mandolins, banjos, guitars, bass gitar, electric piano and drums, combine together for splendid harmony. The repertory is diverse consisting of popular classical music to Irish and Russian melodies, as well as more modern music, and music from films and musicals.

We enjoy the experience of exchange concerts with other orchestras and chiors, and in the last few years have played in Czech Republic, Germany, France, Belgium and England.
